Kelsi R. Nelson, a longtime resident of Olympia, Washington, graduated from the University of Washington in 2013, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Society, Ethics, and Human Behavior, with a minor in Policy Studies. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Nelson worked at Farmer, Cline & Campbell, PLLC, where she developed a desire to practice personal injury law as a result of working with the firm's attorneys and paralegals. Ms. Nelson obtained her Juris Doctor from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2017. While attending law school, Ms. Nelson was a member of the Moot Court Board, where she held the titles of Treasurer and Baker Cup Committee Chair. As a member of the Moot Court Board, Ms. Nelson competed in the National Criminal Procedure Moot Court Competitions in San Diego, California in 2015, and in Newark, New Jersey in 2017. Ms. Nelson was also a member of the Lugar Trial Association where she competed in the University of Florida Levin College of Law Third National Trial Advocacy Tournament in 2016. Ms. Nelson also joined a team of her classmates to compete in the AAJ Trial Competition in Washington, DC, in 2016, and the AAJ Trial Competition in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2017, on behalf of the West Virginia University College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Nelson also received a "CALI: Excellence for the Future" award for excellent achievement in the study of Pre-Trial Litigation in 2017. She is authorized to practice law by the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia and the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.
